Oak Ridge Art Center and Museum

The Oak Ridge Art Center is a private non-profit corporation that serves the regional community surrounding Oak Ridge by offering creative visual arts programming.

We serve a membership of approximately 400 and over 1500 artists and student artists annually. Our mission is to support the experience, enjoyment of, and participation in the visual arts. We offer a wide variety of programs including exhibitions in our galleries, a full range of art and craft classes and workshops, and dynamic public events. We invite you to join us and hope you will visit often.

The Oak Ridge Art Center is open to the public seven days a week. Admission is free, but donations are very welcome.

Hours: Tuesday–Friday: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Saturday–Monday: 1–4 p.m.

What's Goin' On? , our painted mural, identifies the rear facade of the Art Center from the center city park and greets visitors as they approach from that direction. The mural was sponsored by an Arts Build Communities grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission and the Art and Culture Alliance of Knoxville, Walmart, Pittsburgh Paints, and a host of individual contributors. It was designed by artist, Kevin Wright, and created by Mr. Wright and large team of volunteer painters.
