The Art Center is supported under an agreement between the Tennessee Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts. We thank the Tennessee General Assembly and the Tennessee Arts Commission for their support.

The Art Center offers opportunities for regional artists to participate in various exhibitions and art shows.

TN Creates

Hugh Bailey demo
The Secret City Festival, now in its eighth year, has fast become one of the major summer events in Tennessee— attended by 20,000 to 25,000. The two-day festival combines music, food, antique and unjuried crafts vendors (all outside in tents), plus World War II re-enactments, children’s activities, and evening concerts.

By popular demand, the Festival added a juried inside show two years ago sponsored by the Oak Ridge Art Center— “Tennessee Creates.”
Truly a juried fair, participation is dependent on acceptance of work by the jury committee from the Oak Ridge Art Center. All work submitted to jurors and for sale must be original. Jurying sessions will be held as needed from first reception of slides until spaces are filled, so apply early.
