A great way to learn about and work with traditional clay hand building techniques. Pieces will need to be dried after the class and bisque fired before a glaze session. Glaze sessions will be held in late July or August and pieces can be picked up after they are fired.

| Clay Camp for Kids |
Instructor: Jane Cartwright
July 12 - 16, Monday through Friday
From 9:30 Am to 12:30 PM
Tuition: $120
Materials fees: $30 (covers 25 lbs. clay + firing _ glazing and loaned tools)
Ages 8 - 15
A fun and exciting class for those who want to learn how to design, construct and sculpt clay animals or figures. Sculpture sizes can range from small to as large as 18 inches tall – depending on age and experience. This is real sculpture for students with a true interest in clay modeling techniques. Sculptures dry at very different rates, so drying times will vary (some take months). Easy painted finishing techniques will be demonstrated so the pieces can be finished later after they are dried and bisque fired. Students will be notified when they are ready to be picked up. Great for students looking to create portfolio pieces or a fantastic gift for grandparents!
