Workshops offer students of all experience levels opportunities to try new techniques or expand their command of techniques. Set-up to concentrate on a very specific set of skills, workshops can give students focused and accelerated instruction. With the concentrated effort and time students can build and/or hone skills rapidly. In addition, workshops offer students an opportunity to sample techniques they are not familiar with, but have interest in trying. As the time frame for classes are limited, their investment of time and (usually materials) are limited as well.
