Intro into Sculpting & Underglazing Nature Inspired Luminaries with Jean Kranzle TWO DAY WORKSHOP - JUNE 14 & 15, 2025 10:00AM - 4:00PM ****MATERIALS LIST PROVIDED. Please call the art center to obtain a copy. The class will start with a blank canvas of clay with the option to either wheel throw a vessel or hand-build a vessel using a form. Jean will provide examples of her work in various stages of progression to demystify the process along with finished products. Also provided are pictures of the natural world to spur excitement and inspiration. We will go through each part of the process, roughing in a design, carving, and sculpting, and then layering underglazes to create a translucent watercolor effect. Individual instruction and suggestions will be given throughout the process. It is the hope that each person will have made one or two pieces they are happy with by the end of the session. $195
