Mixed Media Painting & Collage

This is a class to learn about, experiment with, and have
fun with a variety of media. We will learn ways to apply
acrylic paint and mediums, pastels, texture making tools,
drawing media, and collage papers in layers to end up with
several “finished” projects. Making our own beautiful
collage papers utilizing stencils, stamps and gel plate
prints is one of my very favorite things!
Along the way we will discuss basics such as design and
composition, the importance of value, color and color
mixing, etc. Beginners to experienced artists will have fun
in this class. Many of the materials will be provided; no
specific supplies needed for first class. A sense of
adventure and willingness to try new ideas and a smile are
essential!
